- Joe Piscopo was not a fan of this movie; Even during the promotions on release, he told the press he wasn't happy with it, even telling one publicist of the film afterwards "I can't bullshit what I think about this". Apparently the movie ended up being more violent and gory than the script suggested, which bothered him.
- When asked about his role on the film in an interview, Treat Williams replied "You know the meaning of the word 'nadir'? Then we can move on"
- Money, Dear Boy: Treat Williams joked once in an interview that he got through the seven-hour long makeup sessions by remembering that this was gonna put his kids through college.
- Star-Derailing Role: Following the failures of Johnny Dangerously and Wise Guys, this proved to be the last nail in the coffin for Joe Piscopo making it as a leading man after leaving Saturday Night Live. This flop additionally failed to do career favors for Treat Williams, either.
