Trivia / Coffin Princess Chaika

• Acting for Two: Fredrica and Dominica Škoda are both voiced by Chiwa Saitō in the Japanese dub, and Krystal LaPorte in the English dub.
• Creator-Driven Successor: To Scrapped Princess, also written by Sakaki Ichirou. A pair of powerful siblings escorting a somewhat hapless fugitive princess who may cause the end of the world, being chased by a group of professionals tasked to stop them, the latter of which made up of mostly decent folk just doing their jobs? They also get joined by an immensely powerful being called a dragoon that can take on the form of a cute girl. Sounds about right.
• The Other Darrin: For the English dub, Krystal LaPorte voiced Frederica in Season 1, but was replaced by Hilary Haag in Season 2.
• No Export for You: Compared to the manga and anime adaptations (both of which got English releases), the original light novels still haven't gotten releases outside Japan.
• Overtook the Manga: See Pragmatic Adaptation for some of it, but the final episode of the series a few weeks before the final book came out.
  • While the end result is mostly the same Emperor Gaz defeated and truly dead, getting to end result took different paths. While Chaika herself takes care of Gaz via sniping her with Niva Lada in the anime, in the light novel she joins Tohru and Frederica in their raid on Gaz's throneroom.
  • The epilogue is also slightly different. In the anime, an amnesiac Chaika is shown to be recovering at the Acura homestead, in the light novel Chaika, Tohru, and Frederica never returned from their raid on his fortress, and their bodies were never found from its wreckage. Chaika Bogdan doesn't believe at all that they're dead, and has joined with Akari in trying to find them.
