- Adored by the Network: Not only did Toonami give this series a one-hour premiere and was made the first show on the block, but a few weeks later, the block took over [adult swim]'s Friday lineup with a marathon of Black Out 2022, Blade Runner 2049, and reruns of the first three episodes. This was followed by another marathon of the first five episodes on December 5, 2021, right after the fifth episode premiered at midnight. Finally, it received a Christmas Night marathon on December 26.
- Denial of Digital Distribution: The dubbed version becoming unavailable on digital platforms as a result of the rights being vaulted by Crunchyroll.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: While the Japanese version is currently available on Crunchyroll, the English dub was removed from Adult Swim's website in September 2022 as a result of the series being vaulted by Warner Bros. Discovery, rendering the dub unavailable for streaming.
- The Other Darrin: Niander Wallace Jr. is voiced by Wes Bentley here instead of Jared Leto, who played him in Blade Runner 2049.
- Role Reprise: Barkhad Abdi returns to voice Doc Badger after previously playing him in 2049.
