• Meaningful Release Date: The first chapter of the story released on March 16, 2015, four years after one of the possible dates for Homura's reset point in Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Several other chapters were intentionally timed to release on March 16 to celebrate the fic's birthday; in particular, Chapter 36, the chapter where Homura first wakes up in a new timeline since the fic's start, was released on March 16, 2016.
• Outdated by Canon: At the time Nagisa Momoe was introduced into the story, her backstory had been mostly undefined, with only a basic unattributed story, about a girl who had wished for a cheesecake instead of her dying mother's recovery, being latched onto because of fan theories. While the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story later confirmed this story to be hers and delved deeper into Nagisa's backstory, that story contradicted the one presented here in many ways. For example, it showed that in canon, her father abandoned her, that Nagisa did initially come up with the idea to wish for her mother to be cured, only later wishing for a cheesecake in order to spite her abusive mother, who ultimately died to a serial killer magical girl. This is in stark contrast to the fic, which presents both her parents to be loving individuals, and shows Nagisa's wish as a tragically shortsighted attempt to cheer up her mother.
