Trivia / Ariel (Plath)

Go To

  • Creator Breakdown: Near the end of the writing process ("Edge" was written a couple of days before Plath committed suicide).
  • Died During Production: Pretty soon after she finished, which is why there's two versions with two different tables of contents.
  • Referenced by...: In Unsounded there's a scene where Ana gives up on her former life and becomes possessed by the First Silver, sits by the river in the moonlight and rips off her own breasts then sings a little ditty about a dead girl in a well, and discusses death and the heaviness and sharpness of her new ghosts. When asked about the scene the author commented that she had Plath in mind while working on the scene, and linked to "Edge".
