• In Memoriam: The author dedicates the story to Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, whose passing in 2018 inspired him to spin a fun idea into a full-blown story.
• What Could Have Been: One of the author's previous ideas for the story was a Fusion Fic tentatively titled "Marvel Academia" in which Peter is an aspiring Hero student at Xavier Academy. He would have been born Quirkless and gotten his powers through a radioactive spider bite like Izuku, but is considerably more abrasive and egotistic due to being inspired by Peter's Lee-Ditko characterization. Ultimately, the author thought it too cluttered to keep a coherent narrative, so he shelved the idea and wrote Amazing Fantasy instead.
