• Sehun, who was known for his perceived apathy, read a message to the members while they were on Sukira, begging them not to fight with each other, and breaking down in tears.
• The lyrics of "Peter Pan" may count, considering that it is about a lost love, and longing to be with her for the rest of time. Later events, namely Kris, Lu Han, and Tao leaving the group make this song Harsher in Hindsight.
• The fourth episode of EXO's Showtime. Several of the members were crying while watching a sad movie, and they reflect on the hardships they've experienced to be where they were then.
• During the Happy Camp 2014 recording, while reflecting on the many hardships they'd endured as EXO, many members of the band broke down in tears.
• The departures of Kris, Lu Han, and Tao, due to alleged mistreatment from SM's staff, and how it affected Lay, the only Chinese member left.
• The lyrics to Promise especially the Chinese version, are a cross between this and a CMOH.
  • During the performance of the song in EXO'luXion 2015 in Seoul which is Tao's last stage, Suho nearly broke down when he saw Tao, doing the EXO-L "L" sign. As the leader, it's understandable how much he had gone through after seeing Kris, Lu Han, and Tao left the group and then, the backlash and hatred that he and the remaining members endured during that time. Considering that he's always there to comfort the members when they are sad, he chooses to cry alone so that he could remain strong in front of them.
• EXO-CBX performing "Paper Cuts" in their last concerts in Japan before Xiumin's enlistment. Baekhyun was very emotional during the performance that he was unable to finish the last part of the song.
