Genesis Arc
- We get a sad description in the first chapter of how Earth is now an apocalyptic wasteland ruled by an almighty god. Demons freely roam the once populated cities, feeding upon the dead.
- The little girl who is left alone in the rain without her family to help her. Well, she has her brother, but it turns out he's already dead. Unfortunately, she's too mind-broken to realize.
- Mura's indentured servitude, all to the man who raised him. Until he pays off an impossible debt of cash, he'll never be granted his freedom.
Zoroaster Tournament Arc
- The heartbreaking backstory of Lilith, given how she's actually a Youkai. This means that she cannot remember anything pertaining to her life as a human, other than she died unexpectedly or savagely. Things go From Bad to Worse when after she becomes a youkai, she's plopped into Yomi as a homeless individual facing discrimination in a world she doesn't understand.
- The battle between Behemoth and Haagenti. Not only does Haagenti try to surrender once he realizes he's outmatched, but his doggy Thrall Howe is also trapped in the fight without a say in things. Both meet their gruesome end once Behemoth rips Haagenti in half.
