Despite its serious tone at times, Canticle has several examples of good humor from its lovable characters and light-hearted moments.
- Mura's initial introduction, scamming a gang of thugs out of money and taunting them while he does it. To add injury to insult, he tricks one of the thugs into humorously stabbing his own hand.
- The elderly Belial commenting on how he was trying to get frisky before Mura interrupted him. The grossed out reaction Mura has is priceless.
- The scenes with Lilith and Mura interacting while not in a battle are typically great, such as when Mura points out Lilith gorging herself on chicken wings.
