2 Good 2 Be True is a 2022 Filipino TV series starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. It stars Bernardo as Ali, a diligent and kindhearted nurse-in-training, and Padilla as Eloy, a conman who lives a double life as a simple mechanic. Their first meeting (as adults, at least) is during a party, where Eloy robs someone and Ali becomes a witness. She pursues him, determined to figure out the truth.
2 Good 2 Be True contains examples of:
- Asshole Victim: Tara Inocencio is Eloy's victim on the night he and Ali met as adults. She is a Rich Bitch who screwed over a poor man.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: Ali is on hot on Eloy's trail because he's a conman and she's determined to prove it. He's obviously not happy about this. Despite the animosity they have towards each other, the mutual attraction is palpable.
- Character Tic: Ali sneezes whenever she's around Eloy.
- Honey Trap: Eloy uses this to infiltrate Tara's house. Once he's inside, he incapacitates and robs her, and they do not engage in any actual sexual activity.
- A Minor Kidroduction: Although the first episode makes us believe Ali and Eloy first met at the party, a later episode shows that Ali and Eloy met when they were little kids. They just can't recognize each other as adults.
