Big is a Korean Drama written by The Hong Sisters and directed by Ji Byung-hyun and Kim Seong-yoon. It premiered in 2012 and was 16 episodes long.

The story follows Gil Da-Ran (Lee Min Jung), a substitue teacher who is working her way to gain her certificate and is engaged to the doctor Seo Yoon-Jae (Gong Yoo). A few days before the wedding, she meets Kang Kyung-Joon, a transfer student from the United States who has a cold attitude but appears to have a soft spot for Da-Ran, who happens to be his teacher. Around the same time, Da-Ran's view on hers and Yoon-Jae's relationship starts wavering as he starts acting differently and avoids her.

Not long after, Yoon-Jae and Kyung-Joon are both involved in a traffic accident that results in them switching bodies with each other. Yoon-Jae in Kyung-joon's body lands in a coma while Kyung-joon in Yoon-jae's body must now face the responsibilities of the adult life at his young age. It proves to be difficult when an acquaintance of his from abroad, Jang Mari (Bae Suzy), comes to Korea looking for him.

This show provides examples of:

  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: An 18-year old transfer student switches bodies with a doctor in his 30's and now must make it through this new way of life.
  • Groin Attack: In episode 5, to get Kyung Joon's wallet from Yoon-Jae, Mari tells him that there is only one secret about her that Kyung-Joon doesn't know. And since it's Kyung-Joon in Yoon-Jae's body, he gets curious. This is a ploy to make him unprepared for Mari to shoot her foot right into his groin so that he'll drop the wallet and is in too much pain to catch up to her as she runs out of the house.
Jang Mari: Don't tell Kyung-Joon. (to the taxi driver) Go!
    • At the start of episode 7, Gil Choong-shik is just about to beat up Yoon-Jae for all the troubles he has put Da-Ran through, but before he can go to attack, Mari arrives and kicks him in the crotch from behind.
  • Manchild: All main characters have some sort of emotional immaturity to them, with the only exception being Yoon-jae since we don't see him act on his own much.
