- Forbidden Love: Thanks to South Africa's Apartheid laws and Act 55
, their relationship was marked as such from the get-go. - Happily Ever After: They legally married in 1967 shortly after Loving v. Virginianote and earned theirs after much turmoil, later adopting three Colored children from their home country and living a well-earned life.
- Happily Married: Despite the hardships faced, they are incredibly happy together.
