The Partridge Family episode "Nag, Nag, Nag" features a racehorse whose groom never listens to anything released after 1942 and is a particular fan of Glenn Miller. The groom plays "Moonlight Serenade," which cures the horse's insomnia, as he'd gotten used to falling asleep to swing music.
In Retail, when carpooling with Marla, Stuart forced her to listen to a Glenn Miller CD. Marla proceeded to ask whether he listened to anything made in the 21st century (and then proceeded to force him to listen to The Black Eyed Peas on the way home).
