Leaving the Harobed village behind prisoner 849 intrudes the lower section of a massive high-tech building partially embedded in the mountains. In there they encounter previously unseen race of strange hazmat suit clad, green blooded, machinegun toting aliens. The ensuing struggle takes our protagonist up a tall elevator leading to upper levels of this eerie alien structure.


Terraniux Underground whines eerily with noises of:

  • Arm Cannon: The Terraniux Mercenaries have them for their left arms. They can either spray their target with bullets or fire rockets.
  • Foreshadowing: On the other side of the large window above the biowaste pool you can see the weapon you acquire in the following level. It's the GES Bio Rifle and not only you can cheat to grab it in here arleady - thanks to how Unreal handles worldbuilding the weapon is still availiable to get in the next level too.
  • Grimy Water: The upper antechamber features a massive pool of toxic-looking green sludge. Subverted that coming in contact with it doesn't hurt you a slightest bit. However the Sliths enjoying a soak in it definitely will.
  • Mook-Themed Level: Is almost exclusively populated by the Mercenaries save for som ocassional Slith.
  • Red Herring: The door in the initial cavern - the one with the button next to it doesn't ever open and actually doesn't lead anywhere. Instead the button calls the elevator.
  • Voice of the Legion: Downplayed with the Mercenaries. They sound rather electronic but not that menacing.
