As the Sheffield receive their Grandma Eloise in a effort to be keep in her will, Fran learn the sudden death of her ex-fiancé, Danny Imperialli. At his funeral, Fran begins to worry about her future if Maxwell were to suddenly disappear in the same fashion.
- Aborted Arc: Grandma Eloise's will and the effort of the Sheffield to stay on her will initially seems to be an important part of the episode. But once Fran learns about Danny's death, the episode focus on her and her shaky relationship with Maxwell and Eloise is relegated to skits. We never learns if the Sheffield are still on her will or not.
- Affectionate Nickname: Danny had the habit of calling his partners:"Little Tiger". To honor him, Fran wears tiger stripped clothes...Like Heather and all of Danny's mistress.
- Big "WHAT?!": Niles's reaction to learning that Maxwell said he loved Fran before taking it back.Maxwell: A man just can't tell a woman he loves her and then take it back.Niles: YOU WHAT?!
- Bus Crash: Danny, from a cheese allergy who run in his family, as he apparently lost three aunts in the same manners.
- Clutching Hand Trap: At Danny's funeral, Fran gets her hand stuck in Danny's fly as she was trying to find some fallen foods in the casket.
- Get Out!: Grandma Eloise enters Max's office just after Niles learned about the Thing, leading him to say that to her. She wisely decides to quit the office.Eloise: Maxwell, I wanted to talk to you about-Niles: GET OUT, OLD WOMAN!!!
- Kiss-Kiss-Slap: If Val's account is anything to go by, that seemed to be the relationship between Fran and Danny. It probably didn't help that Danny seemed to regularly cheat on her since highschool.
- Internal Reveal: Niles finally learns what was "The Thing" between Fran and Maxwell.
- Mistaken For Bi: Fran meet a grieving man wearing a tiger-stripped tie leading her to believe that Danny also had affairs with men. As it turn out, the man is gay but is just crashing Danny's funeral to cope with his own partner's death.
- Ironic Echo: During his rant to Mr.Sheffied, Niles said that he could kick him in the seat of the pants, and openly mock him for not having done anything with her. Leading Maxwell to kick him leading to this exchange:Niles: OW! What was that for?!Maxwell: To get you back for kicking me.Niles: But I didn't kick you!Maxwell: (mockingly) Bet you wish you did now.
- Rage Breaking Point: Niles snaps upon finding out that the Thing was Maxwell told Fran he loved her and then took it back.
- Stealth Insult: Grandma Eloise's speciality. She compliments Fran's half-priced dress by wondering where was the other half and say that she wanted to go to Maxwell's last show, but that they had no intention of reunited the cast for one person.
