Series 1 had the presenters and production crew set up a tent at various places all over the world to discuss cars and present films they produced in front of a live studio audience, with two locations being used for two consecutive episodes each. It also featured "Celebrity Brain Crash", which was a humourous segment that featured celebrity guests (or look-alikes) attempting to arrive at the studio tent only to "die" in freak accidents. This is the only series to have "The American", played by former NASCAR driver Mike Skinner, be the test driver for car reviews on the "Eboladrone" test track at RAF Wroughton.
