Recap / The Casagrandes S 3 E 7 The Golden Curse

Go To

The Casagrandes celebrate Paco's wedding, but they need to find las arras that Sergio lost!

"The Golden Curse" contains examples of:

  • Dramatic Thunder: When the bachelor party finds out that las arras is gone, everyone who mentions how Paulina's marriage will be doomed if they don't get the coins back, this trope occurs. That is despite the fact that it's clearly bright and sunny outside. Sergio ends up lampshading this.
Sergio: I get it, sky! We're going!
  • Hold Up Your Score: At a pool party, Paco does this to people whom jump from an elephant's trunk and land in the water. When Sergio does it, Paco gives him an 8. When Carl (who was flung off the trunk by the annoyed elephant for climbing on it) does it, Paco gives him a 9. And when the elephant itself jumps into the pool (which displaces all the water along with the swimmers outward), Paco gives the animal a 10.
  • Mundane Made Awesome: To get a few of the coins out of a pizza, Ronnie Anne challenges the customer who ordered it to a thumb wrestling match. This is all played as a high-stakes game.
  • Not Helping Your Case: When told that he is not responsible enough to be best man, Sergio protests that he is very responsible, but he almost knocks down a vase when protesting this. He barely prevents it from breaking, but does so anyway when celebrating after getting the gig.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Sergio does this to be best man.
  • Tasty Gold: Sergio does this to one of las arras, only to lose a tooth from biting it. This is despite the fact that he's a parrot.
