Plot
When a Swedish science team threatens Leonard and Sheldon's work, they try to get hold of helium to carry out their experiment. Amy tries out a dating app.
Tropes
- Affably Evil: Kenny Fitzgerald. He maybe a shady dealer, who's greedy and not above threatening when pushed. But apart from that he seems a pretty nice and friendly guy, willing to get into discussions over semantics and when pointed out his misuse of words he's actually grateful. It even ends with Sheldon and Leonard inviting him over to their home to watch a movie.
- Chess Motif : Subverted. When the shady dealer says they're at a stalemate, Sheldon has to correct him, and a discussion of the game and the terms ensues.
- Compliment Backfire : Played with. Sheldon tries to soften the bad news by complimenting Leonard's facial symmetry.
- Drinking Game : Penny, Bernadette, Stuart, Howard and Raj play one while watching Amy's dating prospects.
- Mexican Standoff: Discussed when Sheldon argues whether their situation with Kenny constitutes as one.
- Scare 'Em Straight : Sheldon only had to see one movie to live on the straight and narrow. And that movie was Ernest Goes to Jail.
