Raid 2020
Mortal Kombat 1 Ports
This episode contains examples of:
- Port Overdosed: Due to its success at the Arcade scene, the game was ported to home consoles at the time (early-1990s). The Nerd then goes over each of its ports to the many platforms of the time and analyses how they compare to each other, although he admits that they are fairly faithful recreations of the original Arcade release, each with its own characteristics.
Mortal Kombat 1 Ripoffs
This episode contains examples of:
- Follow the Leader: The episode continues the Nerd's review of the impact Mortal Kombat 1 had in the game industry, by going over the many imitators and competitors it inspired in the years following its release.
- Immediate Sequel: The episode picks up where the previous one left off: the Nerd picks up the Time Killers cartridge, then goes on to review it as the first rip-off.

Bad Final Fight Games

Countdown Vampires
This episode contains examples of:
- Acceptable Breaks from Reality: A in-game document reveals that the protagonist, Keith, murdered a detective. As the game begins, Keith is working as a private security guard for a Vegas casino. The Nerd questions this chain of events, since the man is not in prison for his crime.
- Exaggerated Trope: The Nerd is stunned at what he perceives to be an exaggerated form of the game's Timed Mission gameplay: one at the start, a second in the middle, and two puzzles involving a countdown.
- Follow the Leader: The Nerd mentions that the game was released at the height of the "survival horror craze" of the Playstation 1, in the heels of Resident Evil 2.
- Halloween Episode: The episode is the annual Halloween Episode where the Nerd reviews a horror game. This time, he wears a black vampire cape to get in the mood for the occasion.
- Padding: The Nerd complains that many areas of the game, being empty, add nothing to the game and simply pad out the gameplay. Similarly, he notices that some keycards are found in rooms adjacent to the doors they must be used in.
- Our Vampires Are Different: The Nerd comments that the titular "vampires" are more in line with zombies than with vampires.
- Shout-Out:
- As the Nerd grabs the controller to begin his playthrough, he emits a laugh like Count Von Count.
- The Nerd "kills" the Countdown Vampires CD case with a holy dagger, while citing verbatim Richter's immortal line "Die, monster! You don't belong in this world!", from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
