Go To

Directed by: Douglas Lovelace

Written by: Jesse Porter

The hunt for the treasures of San Lorenzo has gone well, all that remains is The Silver Sphere, which everyone realizes is the Mole King's Bally. Puss hopes he can just trade for it, but the Mole King is too depressed from a recent breakup with his girlfriend to consider it, leaving Puss and Dulcinea to try and patch things up between them first.

Tropes:

  • Didn't Think This Through: Dulcinea brings up the multiple problems with Artephius' fish bowl design where it has no hole and is not transparent.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: At some point, the Megamicre queen notices Puss staring at her dangling ears, points out that her eyes are lower down and refuses to let Puss play with her ears. Disappointed, Puss points to a passing by guard and asks if he can play with her ears instead, which greatly angers the Queen.
  • Exact Words: When the Queen wanted Mole King to give her a grand romantic gesture, he thought she wanted a grand romantic jester. He pops up several times.
  • Foreign Queasine: Mole food is made mostly of dirt and bugs.
Mole King: Be sure to save some room for that dirt fudge!
Dulcinea: That's not just dirt smushed into fudge, is it?
Mole King: It's dirt that's mixed with water then smushed into fudge!
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: When Dulcinea and Puss each try to get one of the couple to fix the relationship, they end up falling in love with Puss/Dulcinea instead.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: While the queen is tall, she is very thin compared to the large Mole King.
  • No Social Skills: Mole King has to be taught the very basics of courtship from Dulcinea.
  • One-Gender Race: As it turns out, all Mole Men are male, and all Megamicre are female. Because of this, the Megamicre assume Puss to be female until he points out otherwise.
