It's Halloween, and there are strange things going on in Windsor Gardens – will Paddington solve the mystery?
Tropes:
- Agent Mulder / Agent Scully: Jonathan is convinced that something supernatural and spooky is causing all the Halloween trouble. Judy, however, thinks there must be a more rational explanation.
- Comically Missing the Point: Jonathan does this when Mary makes their camera trap go off:Jonathan: Mom! You made us miss the ghost!Judy: No, mom was the ghost!
- Failed Attempt at Scaring: Henry tries to scare Mrs. Bird when he opens the door for her in his vampire costume. It doesn’t work.Mrs. Bird: You’ll have to do better than that, Mr. Brown.
- Faint in Shock: Mr. Curry faints when the monster runs by and causes a jack-o-lantern to come rolling to a stop right in front of him.
- Foreshadowing: At the beginning of the episode, Mateo mentions that his dog Lucky keeps running off to chase squirrels. This is part of what makes Paddington realize Lucky is the one behind decorations getting knocked over and treats getting stolen at the Halloween party.
- Frankenstein's Monster: What Judy goes as for Halloween.
- Halloween Episode: Paddington and the Brown family spend Halloween at their friend Sophia’s party. However, someone or something seems to be making some Halloween mischief.
- Immediate Self-Contradiction: Paddington says he’ll only fall asleep if they have to wait a really long time, after which he immediately falls asleep.
- Jump Scare: Mr. Gruber is hiding in a giant jack-o-lantern and jumps out when the kids come to his door to trick-or-treat.
- Like Mother Like Daughter: Both Judy and her mom say there has to be a rational explanation for all the spooky mishaps.
- Monster Mash: There are several monstrous suspects for the Halloween treats going missing, including a ghost, a werewolf, and a witch.
- Mystery Episode: Paddington and the Brown siblings try to figure out who’s been causing trouble at Sophia’s Halloween party.
- Scary Shadow Fakeout: Paddington, Jonathan, and Judy get scared by a creepy-looking vampire shadow, but it ends up just being Mr. Curry helping Sophia with her decorations.
