The Titans are captured by The Brain, and must rely on their little buddies Beat Box, Birdarang, Super Robin, Dave the wolf, and Pain-Bot to rescue them.
- Accidental Misnaming: Beast Boy thinks that The Brain's name is actually Brian.
- De-power: After getting kidnapped by The Brain, the Titans' powers are all removed and stored in containers, save for the powerless Robin.
- Disney Death: Beat Box appears to die, but is revived after Cyborg replaces the batteries.
- Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: After Brain attempts to correct Beast Boy on the suit’s acronym, he realizes he screwed it up.

- Fun with Acronyms: The Brain builds a robot
- Only Mostly Dead: Beat Box takes a blast from The Brain's B.R.I.A.N. suit and seems to die, but after The Brain is defeated and the Titans are free, Cyborg just replaces Beat Box's batteries to revive it.
- Selective Obliviousness: Robin wants to be in charge of their escape and insists that nobody is coming to save them, even when the little buddies open their cell door and Starfire tells him someone has come to save them.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Beast Boy constantly calls The Brain by Brian, which turns out to be his suit’s acronym, B.R.I.A.N..
- Tally Marks on the Prison Wall: A corner of the cell the Brain holds the Titans in has a lot of tally marks carved into the wall.
- Three-Point Landing: Birdarang in his limbed form does this twice.
- Time Skip: Eight months pass between the Teen Titans going off to fight The Brain at the beginning, and the sidekicks learning that they were captured, having mistaken a distress beacon for a party light.
