Paper Moon

Air Date: October 28, 2014.

A murder outside a biker bar in Durham, Washington, in southwest King County, bears all the hallmarks of a werewolf attack. The Winchesters learn that Kate from "Bitten" (S08, E04) is staying in town, but the job becomes more complicated when they begin to suspect she's covering for someone else.

Body Count:

  • Above Good and Evil: Tasha—who, unlike Kate, doesn't hesitate to kill humans—thinks like this now. She sees her pre-werewolf state as weak and pathetic.
  • The Bus Came Back: Kate returns.
  • Murderer P.O.V./P.O.V. Cam: Aside from a brief close-up of the killer's lips, the entire teaser is shot from her vantage point. This is, of course, to establish doubt as to who's the killer.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Tasha says that she's not going to run from people like "Mary-Kate and Ashley", referring to Sam and Dean.
    • "Guy at the bar saw you before you went all Wolverine on his buddy."
    • "She ain't done chowing down on Sons of Anarchy just yet."
  • Superhuman Transfusion: Kate turned Tasha into a werewolf in order to save her life after what would have otherwise been a fatal car accident.
  • Vegetarian Vampire: Kate has been living as the werewolf equivalent of this. Her sister very definitely hasn't.

How well does it match the trope?
