TIME FOR THE ERA OF MARIO TO BEGIN.
Mario runs against Student Council President Kermit The Frog for the position, and his buddies pitch in to help... with mixed results.
Tropes:
- Covers Always Lie: Luigi appears in the thumbnail, but nowhere in the actual video.
- Didn't Think This Through: Pointed out by Kermit that giving everyone free spaghetti to everyone is no easy task. Mario then announces that he'll tax the poor, earning an extremely appropriate reaction.
- Dumpster Dive: Kermit's solution to the school not having enough budget to pay for the food. As it turns out, no one else had any better ideas.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Kermit points out that Mario doesn't have a plan for giving everyone free spaghetti. After Mario gets tied up and burnt by the angry mob, Kermit goes on a speech on how people only want power before realizing that he's saying too much and goes back to being a goofy side character.
- Kick the Dog: Kermit kicking Mario in the nuts unprovoked. Fittingly, this drives Meggy to rally the others to help Mario defeat him.
- Laser-Guided Karma: For his Jerkass behavior and playing dirty during elections, Kermit loses the title of president to Mario, who knocks him off the stage for good measure.
- Student Council President: What Mario and Kermit are competing for after the former is tired of the latter's poor solutions for the school lunch.
- Too Dumb to Live: Mario, if you're gonna tax the poor, don't make that announcement right in front of the entire crowd right after becoming class president.
- True Companions: Meggy initially isn't too keen on helping Mario win the elections (and considering what we saw Mario do when given power, you could hardly blame her). No sooner does Kermit begin playing dirty during the campaigning does she immediately switch gears and rallies everyone she can find to help him end Kermit's reign.
- Worthy Opponent: Kermit admits that Mario is one during the speech scene.
