Mario encounters the Big Chungus boi himself. Things get really weird.
Mario’s picnic is interrupted when a Big Chungus steals his spaghetti, promoting him to hunt it down. However, he is captured by the Chungus tribe and is forced to help them to avoid a death sentence.
- "Bang!" Flag Gun: Mario uses this to defeat a Chungus by scaring them to death.
- Call-Back: During Meggy's pitch about making Chungus video games, she informs the Judge Chungus that Mario's such a good salesman that he's managed to sell rocks before.
- Cooking the Live Meal: Mario does this to the Chungus he catches at the beginning. The tribe later does this after catching him.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Mario is sentenced to "Grand Chungus" by the Judge Chungus, which would involve a massive Big Chungus sitting on and crushing him to death.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Mario tries to kill a wild Chungus because it stole and ate his lunch.
- Running Gag: During Mario's helping of the Chungus tribe, his level and rank are displayed above his head, ripped straight from Mafia City.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Master Hand tries to Dash Attack Mario after the latter kills Miyamoto. Mario just shoots him dead with the gun he's carrying.
- Turned Against Their Masters: During his assault on Nintendo, Mario throws Miyamoto through the skylight. Master Hand even lampshades this:Master Hand: HOW DARE YOU! He's your creator!
