In the last episode, the Rangers were able to defeat the Flytrap monster that was turning people into vampires, but mysteriously, Vida still remained one. They find out from Koragg that Necrolai is the one responsible, so they must find a way to defeat Necrolai to free Vida from her control and turn her back to normal.
- Chekhov's Gun: Earlier in the episode, Udonna leaves without telling anyone what she's up to. Just as the Rangers find out about Necrolai's Kryptonite Factor, Udonna shows up, having already gathered all the ingredients they'd need to create it. How convenient!
- Evil Costume Switch: A brief one, and hard to spot since it's obscured by a lot of shadows, but while she's in Necrolai's lair, Vida wears some kind of gothy dress, rather than her usual style.
- Idiot Ball: Subverted. The Rangers figure Clare was holding it when she says she accidentally let Vida out and then got herself trapped in the chalk circle and asks to be let out, because she's Clare. After they let "Clare" out however, Clare shows up, proud of herself for not letting Vida out of the circle the whole time... hey, where did Vida go?
- "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: We get one between Chip and Vida, as Chip tries to snap Vida out of Necrolai's control.
- The Reveal: Leelee is Necrolai's daughter.
- Rewatch Bonus: Any Leelee scene in the previous eight episodes becomes this once her secret is revealed.
- Trust Password: Vida does the V-Sign pose she thought of in the previous episode, but didn't recognize Chip doing earlier in this one, to let him know she's shaken off Necrolai's influence and that he can safely shoot the Dawn Crystal at Necrolai through her.
- Wham Line: Leelee calling Necrolai Mom.
