A new Sporix is unleashed who grants wishes, but with a cruel twist every time.
Tropes:
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Every wish granted by Hexcurio's charm comes true but with some often unnecessarily cruel twist activated by the same charm.
- Breather Episode: A light hearted episode coming off the heels of a serious Lord Zedd arc and before the end game of the season.
- Didn't Think This Through: While it was a sweet wish, Amelia didn't factor that she would not recognize her parents since she has no idea what they look like. They do appear, but she doesn't know that it's them.
- Don't Look At Me: Human!Mucus says this after the Rangers discover her true identity.
- Downer Ending: For Amelia, at least, who's convinced her wish never came true in the first place, and is therefore no steps closer to finding out about her parents.
- Exact Words: Amelia's wish is to see her parents, "just for a moment". This is the very first time that the Rangers meet Void Queen, who is accompanied by Void King
- Forced Transformation: Izzy gets turned into a miniature version of the T-Rex Zord.
- Foreshadowing: Amelia's wish was to see her parents for one moment, and Hexcurio says that none of his wishes are faulty. she did see them, she just didn't know that the individuals were her parents
- Fountain of Youth: Amelia gets transformed into a 12-year old version of herself.
- Genre Blind: The Rangers just randomly pick up some devices that supposedly grant wishes, in a universe where magic and monsters are a real thing, and think nothing of it.
- Humanity Ensues: Mucus wishes for a nice hat, but gets turned into a human immediately afterwards. Which she hates.
- Insistent Terminology: When Ollie is turned into an action figure, he insists that he be called that, instead of his mom about to call him a doll.
- Jackass Genie: Hexcurio tests both the wishing and cursing half of his powers with Mucus.
- Karmic Misfire: Due to the fact that Izzy was holding Javi's wish charm, she ends up being cursed by it even though she didn't make any wishes herself. Naturally, she doesn't think it's fair.
- Mundane Wish: Ollie, who doesn't believe in wishes, figures he'll just wish for a hug from his faraway mom to prove it doesn't work. He gets his wish, consequence free, though his mom is very confused at being teleported from Japan to America without warning.
- No Ontological Inertia: The wishes and the curses are undone as a result of Hexico's destruction.
- Rewatch Bonus: Amelia wishes to see her parents just for a moment. As the finale reveals, she got her wish completely as ordered, she just never realized.
- Villain: Exit, Stage Left: The Voids only show up just for a moment, before porting back out again.
- Wasteful Wishing: Mucus spends her wish on getting a fancy hat. Ollie spends his wish for him to be able to hug his mom.
- What the Hell, Hero?: The other Rangers give this to Javi when he suggests they delay destroying Hexcurio (thus breaking the various wishes and curses) in order to advance his career.
