Following the next day, Flash prepare for his third Gym Battle against Maud Pie.
- And the Adventure Continues: By defeating Maud, Flash earns his third badge, but he's then informed that there will be a Flying-type battle tournment in a nearby town from Baltimare City. Determined, Flash and his friends decide to hit there next.
- Double Knockout: The battle between Prongs and Maud's Stegolate ends in a draw.
- Graceful Loser: Maud and her family all congratulate Flash on his victory, in which the latter happily gives Flash the Geode badge for his efforts.
- Fossil Revival: The Pokedex mentions that Maud's Stegolate died out over 155 million years ago, but has been revived as an acquirable Pokémon in the present day.
- I Choose to Stay: While the rest of the group decides to hit the road again, Pinkie Pie chooses to stay back with her family for a while, stating that she wants to hang with her family a bit longer.
- Mucking in the Mud: Flash beats Maud by turning the battlefield into a mud mursh, which traps Maud's Spikorn and leaves it open to attack. With it, Maud's last Pokémon is defeated and the Geode badge is given to Flash.
