Dylan tries to get the attention of his crush Portia Poodle, but soon finds he should be careful what he wishes for.
This episode features examples of:
- Accidental Misnaming: Portia calls Dylan "Danny." He goes along with it. When the triplets talk about how much Dylan likes her during her date with him, she even wonders out loud who Dylan is.
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Or at least Portia does. She gets attracted to Dylan after he doesn't stop her from falling into the water, calling him her "anti-hero."
- Blank White Eyes: Both Fergus and Spencer have this in reaction to Portia actually taking well to Dylan's geekiness, saying "Geek is the new black."
- Cardiovascular Love: When Dylan first sees Portia, hearts appear in the background. Later in the same scene, he wipes off the mud on his space helmet in a heart shape. The background hearts appear again when Portia gets attracted to Dylan's bad boy self.
- Here We Go Again!: When Dylan finally gets rid of Portia, his crush on her is reignited when she off-handedly uses the word "space."
- Irritation Is the Sincerest Form of Flattery: Portia dyes her fur to look like a Dalmatian's and gets a collar like Dylan's so she can be "two souls as one" with him.
- It's Not You, It's Me: When he's trying to dump Portia, Dylan tells her, "It's not you. It's you being me."
- Let's Just Be Friends: Dylan tries to break it off with Portia with this line. Unfortunately for him, she interprets it as being boyfriend and girlfriend.
- Reverse Psychology: In the end, Dylan finally gets rid of Portia by acting overly affectionate towards her.
- Spaghetti Kiss: Dylan and Portia start to do one on their date, but Dylan slurps the last of the spaghetti before their mouths can meet.
- Stalker with a Crush: Once she gets interested in him, Portia follows Dylan everywhere he goes and says that they "must never be apart."
