- K.O. has dog paws when he goes to Mr. Gar for a piece of melon, reminding us once again that he was turned into a puppy in "We Got Fleas".

- Important Haircut: in Mr. Gar's flashback, Carol is shown with shorter hair following Laserblast's disappearance.
- Spinning Paper: Gar's flashback opens with a series of newspaper headlines in the aftermath of Laserblast's disappearance. Then it's revealed an actual newsboy was throwing papers at El-Bow.
- Super Mode: Mr. Gar has to fight a glorb-enhanced Cantalop, who is able to regenerate himself. He is defeated when Mr. Gar removes the glorb.
- The Reveal: Gar was given the land Lakewood Plaza was built on by the President of the Universe to protect the Glorb Tree beneath it. He's also the one Mr. Gar has been going on secret missions for.
