Tropes in this episode:

  • Appeal to Nature: Nadia claims nature is better than human inventions, leaving her friends. It didn't prevent her from stealing from them.
  • Complaining About Rescues They Don't Like: Nadia after Jean and Marie have to rescue her from the Nautilus escape pod, complaining fishes didn't save her because of their fishing.
  • Depending on the Writer: Even taking last episode into account, all of the characters get hit with this bad. But Nadia gets the worst Flanderization of the bunch.
  • Filler: The Island Arc (unfortunately) continues.
  • My Friends... and Zoidberg: Nadia excluding Jean from the beach's name, justifying it would be hard to say.
  • Naming Your Colony World: By herself, Nadia decides to give names to several landmarks of their new home. The island itself is named after Abrhaam Lincoln, the inlet is named Captain's Creek because of Nemo's cabin and the beach is named Namaki, from Nadia, Marie and King; she didn't put Jean (for Najamaki) because it would be hard to say.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: As frustrated as Jean is with Nadia complaining about being rescued, it's a sign of how bad and stupid this particular complaint is that Marie of all people blows up at Nadia.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Marie tears into Nadia after she whines about fishes not coming to save her, complaining Jean and Marie made them unhappy by fishing them. It makes Nadia snap out of her misanthropy.
  • Shout-Out: Nadia naming the place Lincoln Island is another Jules Verne tribute to The Mysterious Island where the castaways name it Lincoln Island too.
  • What the Hell, Hero?:
    • Nadia excluding Jean's name from the beach, claiming it would not produce good sounds.
    • Nadia stealing food tins from Jean and Marie, only to destroy them while attempting to open them. She also sabotages their water purification system.
