The internship program starts and Izuku is waiting to meet Gran Torino, but when he does he is not what he expected. Izuku decides to go back when Gran Torino shows his power and tempts Izuku to fight him. Meanwhile, Iida begins searching for Hero-Killer Stain.
Tropes:
- A Bloody Mess: Izuku arrives at Gran Torino's to find him lying in what appears to be a pool of blood, with his intestines visible. He then pops up and says he tripped and fell while carrying a plate of sausages covered in ketchup. It's indicated he did this deliberately to mess with Izuku.
- Bland-Name Product: Gran Torino gets a replacement microwave from Omozan.
- "Eureka!" Moment: While preparing a fish pastry for Gran Torino, Midoriya discovers that instead of focusing on one body part for One For All, he should spread its energy throughout his body, increasing his agility and limit the risk of injury.
- Hostile Show Takeover: During the preview sequence for the next episode, Shigaraki arrives and plans to take over while Midoriya panics (luckily, this happens only once).
- Obfuscating Insanity: Gran Torino is rather fond of playing the senile old fool.
