Go To

Katherine and Aisha struggle to come up with the winning entry for Angel Grove High School's new theme song. Lord Zedd's old ally, Dischordia, is unleashed, with her musical spells forcing the entire team of Power Rangers to dance uncontrollably! Will they give in to her sinister siren song and give up their Power Coins?

Tropes

  • Amicable Exes: Implied with Zedd and Dischordia.
Zedd: Dischordia, how well I remember your evil voice. Thank you for coming to my palace on such short notice.
Dischordia: I'll do anything for ya, Zeddy boy. [blows him a kiss]
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: In Kakuranger, Dischordia's counterpart was destroyed by the Super Muteki Shogun (Shogun Megafalconzord). Here, Power Rangers takes it up a bit by having it fight with Titanus.
  • Eviler than Thou: When Dischordia puts the Rangers under her spell, Master Vile rubs it in Zedd's face—saying this is what happens when a true master is running things. When the Rangers break free, though, Zedd shoves Vile aside.
"Move over, old-timer! I'll take it from here."
  • Foreshadowing: After Dischordia is destroyed, Master Vile says he will next launch his master plan.
  • Godzilla Threshold: The Rangers don't take any chances with Dischordia—summoning both Megazords immediately. Ninjor also shows up.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Rita is livid to find that Zedd and Dischordia have a history.
  • Innocuously Important Episode: The biggest in the franchise, featuring the final victory of the original Power Ranger incarnation, and the final appearances of the Ninja Megazord, Ninjor and Titanus.
  • Literal-Minded:
Dischordia: Do you have any requests before I destroy you?
    Ninjor: Well, I was hoping-
    Dischordia: TOO LATE!
  • Make My Monster Grow: Zedd does this solo with a lightning bolt from his own staff.
  • Not Me This Time: Alerting the others that the Rangers have broken free of the spell, Rito insists this isn't his fault.
  • Special Effects Failure: As with the Ninja Ultrazord, the footage of the Shogun Ultrazord forming is done with the toys.
  • Stylistic Suck: Bulk and Skull's music definitely qualifies!
  • Unrelated in the Adaptation: Dischordia's counterpart, Yama-uba, was Vile's counterpart's sister. Here, she is merely Vile's ally and is heavily implied to be an old flame of Zedd's.
