Rita traps three of the Rangers within a storybook, which they have to guide to the proper ending. Meanwhile, Bulk and Skull try to create a monster.

- Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti: The Rangers encounter a yeti-like monster with a bad temper and hates trespassers.
- The Cameo: The Snow Monster's voice is provided by Gardner Baldwin, better known as Grimlord from another Saban-produced tokusatsu VR Troopers.
- Deadpan Snarker: Grumble has a wisecrack for almost anything the rangers say to him.
- Exact Words: When Bulk finds out that Skull used a Thanksgiving cookbook to make a monster:Bulk: Skull, tell me you didn't use this.Skull: You didn't use this.Bulk: That's what I thought. Nobody in the world could be THAT big of a numbskull!
- Jerkass with a Heart of Gold: Grumble fits like a glove; he snarks and takes the piss out of everything the rangers do or say, but he still tries to get toys to the orphaned children waiting for him. Downplayed as it was Mondo the Magician who cast a spell to make him like that, but even when the spell is broken, he's still a little grumbly.
- Lethal Chef: Mrs. Skullovitch is implied by Bulk to be one, something that Skull appears to take offence to.
- Maniac Monkeys: Like Primator before him, the Snow Monster tries to kill the three trapped rangers simply because they invaded his territory.
- Portal Book: Zedd and Rita open one to the Land of Fiction which traps Tommy, Kim, and Rocky into the story of "Grumble the Magic Elf".
- Script Swap: Skull accidentally mixes up the monster making guide with a Thanksgiving cookbook.
- Who Would Be Stupid Enough?: Bulk is horrified to see that Skull followed his mother's thanksgiving cookbook instead of the monster making guide. When Skull denies using the cookbook, Bulk decides to believe him as he thinks that nobody could be that big a numbskull.
