Go To

"Entombed" is the seventeenth season 3 short of the new Mickey Mouse (2013) series created by Paul Rudish for the Disney Channel and Disney.com. It's the 54th to air on the Disney Channel and put up on Disney.com.

Mickey and Minnie explore the Valley of the Kings for hidden treasure and artifacts.

Tropes:

  • Goofy Print Underwear: The mummy is shown to have this kind of underwear when it is revealed that Minnie has wrapped herself in some of his wrappings. His underwear is covered in yellow ankhs.
  • Impact Silhouette: Mickey and Minnie leave behind holes in their shapes when they crash through the walls to run away from the mummy.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • As Mickey gets smashed by stone blocks, he briefly takes on Tom Oreb's character design used in 1955 Nash Automobile commercials, and then a Picasso-inspired design from Ward Kimball's model sheet spoof The Mouse Club.
    • The hallway scene and the spider that Mickey finds there are based on the Silly Symphony short "Egyptian Melodies".
  • Shout-Out: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit appears in the hieroglyphics in the title card.
