There's a High-School Dance coming up in Mission Creek High, and Leo intends in asking out his crush, Danielle, who barely seems to notice him. Chase comes up with the strategy of having Leo look like a hero by pretending to save Adam from a fallen locker, but when Danielle sees this, she becomes interested in Adam instead, much to Leo's frustration. In an attempt to remedy the situation, Chase only makes matters worse when Danielle asks him to the dance, stirring conflict between the three brothers. Meanwhile, Bree experiences her own first crush, and the jitters that come with it.

Tropes:

• Bad "Bad Acting": Leo and Adam, when acting out the plan to impress Danielle.
• Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Danielle and Ethan appear only in this episode and never again. Danielle's role as Leo's crush is essentially usurped by Janelle afterwards, and Ethan turns out to be the first (or second, if you count Kavan from "Crush, Chop and Burn") in a series of Boys of the Week for Bree.
• Dance Party Ending: Naturally, the episode ends with Leo and the bionic siblings getting their boogie on.
• Dance Sensation: Played with. Leo teaches Chase the Refrigerator Dance, claiming it'll impress Danielle. Said dance is actually something Leo makes up on the spot, and which eventually ends up embarrassing Chase instead.
• High Heel Hurt: When Bree asks Tasha for advice on what to do about her crush on Ethan, Tasha suggests she wears high heels. Bree does just that, but said heels prove to be cumbersome, to the point that they keep her from using her Super-Speed (which may actually be a blessing in disguise).
  Leo: Okay, if you're gonna dance in those shoes, I suggest wearing a helmet.
• Relationship Upgrade: A rare platonic/familial variant, rather than romantic. In previous episodes, Leo considered the Lab Rats "[his] best friends", but here, he acknowledges their status as family.
  Leo: I'm saying you're not my friends, because you're my brothers.
  Adam: Aww. Yeah, you're like the brother I never had.
  Chase: Adam, you have a brother.
  Adam: No, I know. I said like the one I didn't have.

  Leo: Great plan, Chase.
  Adam: [still smiling after Danielle's offer to go to the dance with him] What are you talking about? That didn't go at all like we thought it would!

  Danielle: [about Adam and Chase] What is up with your weird friends? You'd think this is their first dance.
  Leo: Actually... it is.
  Danielle: Ah. Homeschooled, huh?
  Leo: You have no idea.
