It's Rosa's birthday, and Krash decides to give her a lampshade. Chiko wants to give her one of his cacti, but can't find the one he's willing to give away. Krash decides that they could find a suitable cactus in the desert.After long search, they finally find a beautiful cactus and go to the party. Unfortunately, they find themselves lost. They kept wandering around and trying to survive in the desert, until they see a balloon from the party and figure out which way should they head out.
Krash and Chiko only arrive to the party by the evening. It starts to rain, and everyone starts hideing in Rosa's house... except for Krash and Chiko, who feel relieved after spening a whole day in a desert.
Tropes:
- All Deserts Have Cacti: The desert of the KikoRiki island has a huge variety of cactuses.
- Cactus Cushion: Krash falls backwards on one of the cacti.
- Going in Circles: When they get the cactus they needed, Krash notices this when they stumble upon their own footprints several times.
- Hollywood Mirage: Krash and Chiko see a realistic sea, which turns out to be a mirage.
- Mushroom Samba: Possibly. The cactus that Krash and Chiko found (and later, try to drink the water out of) is a Lophophora williamsii
. These cacti contain mescaline, so the Hollywood Mirage they saw might have been a hallucination. - Quicksand Sucks: Chiko gets caught in quicksand and Krash saves him.
- Thirsty Desert: Krash and Chiko walk for a long time in the desert and suffer greatly from thirst.
