I don't mind tag, I just hope it's not a Death Game...that and time curfew.
Setchan: Previously on… Zenkaiger!
The World Pirates, captained by Zocks, are out to break the curse on the twins by liberating the world of SDtopia!
They want to defeat the Tozitend just like Kaito's group, but there's still room for conflict, too!

Why is everyone suddenly an oni?! Onigokko Wald has set up a game of tag in where everyone that becomes an oni becomes obsessed with turning other people into oni as well! Meanwhile, Flint can't help but worry over her brothers after they've been infected by Onigokko Wald's tag plague.

Tropes

  • Big Damn Heroes: Zocks does this two times during the episode: once to save his sister and another to end Onigokko Wald's game.
  • Bread, Eggs, Breaded Eggs: Witnessing Cutanner and Ricky argue over whether anpannote  or cream puffs are the better bread, Kaito tries to resolve their arguement by suggesting they mix the two to form an an-cream puff, but was knocked down by them before he could finish.
  • Chekhov's Gag: Flint mentions that Cutanner and Ricky would often argue with each other over anything and everything. The mecha battle has them weaponizing this by them pretending to argue all the way across the world (on CrossKaiOh and CrawlingOh no less) before coming behind Onigokko Wald and planting his Time Bomb behind his back, quickly destroying him with little fanfare (aside from the obligatory explosion of course).
  • Chekhov's Skill: Discussed. Yatsude reveals that Kaito was especially good at playing tag as a kid, particularly for running away and being the last one standing. Setchan points out that even if he did somehow manage to be the last one standing in this situation, it's pretty much a lost cause since the Tozitend's takeover of Earth would have already been considered a success.
  • Cliffhanger: The last scene of the episode sees Ijirude overseeing the construction of a mecha for Stacy.
  • It's All My Fault: Flint blames herself for letting her brothers fall victim to Onigokko Wald due to not quelling their bickering, relating it to the accident back in SDtopia where her brothers were cursed into Super-Deformed robots as a result of another quarrel she didn't bother to stop.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: This episode's Japanese title (渡る世間は鬼ゴッコかい/Wataru Seken wa Oni Gokko Kai) is based on the Japanese drama Wataru Seken wa Oni Bakari (渡る世間は鬼ばかり/"The Encroaching World is Nothing But Demons")
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: When everyone is in the sweet-shop discussing and agreeing in a plan to defeat Onigokko Wald with Magine's magic, Vroon, who was previously tagged as an oni, arrives to tag them as of course, their usual hangout would logically be the first place he would check out, which he chastises them on for not considering it the moment he enters. As a result, Magine and Yatsude are tagged.
