Jane is stuck with Writer's Block. Petra and Jane R. try to suss out the blackmailer. Rogelio tries to be more engaged in Xiomara's life, but finds himself suspicious of her. Rafael's search for his birth parents seems to bear fruit.

- Closet Key: Jane R. is the first woman Petra's ever been with.
- Everybody Knew Already: Jane and Rafael were so unsuccessful at hiding their relationship that Rogelio, Xiomara, and Alba were taking bets on when they'd spill.
- Fakeout Makeout: Jane R. plants one on Petra to throw off the blackmailer whom she thinks is following her.
- Grand Romantic Gesture: Jane encourages Rogelio to do something nice and romantic for Xiomara, but not to go overboard.Jane: You didn't go too big, did you?

Petra gives her an exaggeratedly long list, starting with reasonable guesses like Magda, Lachlan, and Chuck, and ending with the guy who plays Pammy the Parrot (because she's always cold to him).
- Mistaken for Cheating: Rogelio thinks Xiomara is cheating on him. It turned out the man she was with is her dance partner, and is also gay.
- Modesty Bedsheet: Petra covers herself in sheets after she sleeps with Jane R.
- Portmanteau Couple Name: "Xogelio Extravaganza!"
- Wham Line: The end of the episode when the doctors reveal that they found a lump under Xiomara's breast.
- Writer's Block: Jane is struggling with it in this episode, as she feels stuck in her writing. Rogelio tries to help her through it.
