Release Date: February 16, 2009

Freddie, during a recording, publicly admits that he’s not hugely into the Fred Figglehorn videos. However, this eventually results in its creator, Lucas Cruikshank, to make an announcement that he is no longer making videos solely because of Freddie admitting he's not hugely in the show. Because of this, everyone starts ostracizing him, much to the apathy of Sam and Carly because he caused their show to become hated. Their infamy from literally everyone in the community causes them to make things right with the creator, Lucas Cruikshank, who reveals that the whole thing was purely a set up to get more views; all the while Sam is pummeling Freddie with a tennis racket just so he can reluctantly admit to being in Fred's show and throws him out of the treehouse. Later, the iCarly gang (including Freddie) make videos with Lucas and the episode ends.

Meanwhile, Spencer is obsessed with only letting the Magic Meatball (a Magic 8-Ball expy) make all decisions for him but the Meatball gives him very bizarre answers putting him on a very wild adventure.

Tropes

  • Adults Are Useless: None of the staff intervenes when the students pummel Freddie, nor do they speak up to stop the bullying. Some of the adults are even implied to be part of the bullying.
  • All of the Other Reindeer: Freddie gets ostracized in school for the incident; not even Sam or Carly want anything to do with him.
  • Butt-Monkey: Freddie throughout the entirety of the episode at his absolutely.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Carly sees Spencer with an ostrich.
    Carly: Whatcha got there?
    Spencer: A smoothie.
  • Disproportionate Retribution:
    • Sam nearly kills Freddie by bashing him with a tennis racket after he still won't tell Lucas he's into the videos. Throwing him out of the treehouse gives this extra points.
    • For that matter, why is Freddie getting treated like crap by his schoolmates? Because he specifically stated that he doesn't really find Fred funny.
Freddie: I didn't kill Fred. I was just stating my opinion.
Schoolmate: Yeah, well your opinion stinks!
  • Guilt by Association Gag: Sam and Carly also get ostracized even though Freddie alone did not like Fred. This is something they complain about.
  • Hero with Bad Publicity: The iCarly gang (Freddie especially) lose all of their friends in favor of Fred "quitting making videos purely because of Freddie's personal opinion."
  • Hypocrite: Carly herself for at first defending Freddie from accusations of Fred Figglehorn choosing to go on a self-imposed blackout, but upon seeing the graffiti on her locker with the image provided saying what it was, Carly then turns on to blaming Freddie.
  • Jerkass: Lucas Cruikshank himself at the very end of the episode, as well as the other students including Sam.
  • Karma Houdini: Lucas never faces any repercussions for ostracizing Freddie into an outcast, making the entire school turn against him and causing major damage to the iCarly web show's reputation. The same goes for Sam, who faces no repercussions for beating Freddie and throwing him out of a treehouse, as well as the Jerkass students at school who ostracize Freddie, Sam, and Carly.
  • Kafka Komedy: Freddie getting pummeled by everyone at school and Sam's beating of him at the end is obviously intended to be funny.
  • Publicity Stunt: Fred quits making videos after Freddie says he doesn't find the latter's show very funny. When the gang visits Fred to apologize, Fred states he only pretended to be upset in order to get more views.
  • Yank the Dog's Chain: Freddie rightfully refuses to change his opinion about Lucas' videos, but Sam then smashes him a tennis racket in order to make Freddie change his opinion. Even so, he later gets flung out of the treehouse.
