With his new powers, Ultimate Ura kills two thirds of the Gaorangers, leaving Kakeru and Tsukumaro alone to deal with a dangerous foe. Can they put an end to the Thousand Year Spirit of Evil and avenge their friends?
Episode Tropes:
- Darkest Hour: Two thirds of the Gaorangers are dead, most of the Gao Jewels are cracked (meaning there is no way to summon their respective Power Animals or perform a Hyakujuu Gattai), and Ultimate Ura is out in Japan attacking civilians.
- Death Is Cheap: Did you honestly believe that Toei would permanently kill two thirds of the Gaorangers mid-way into the season?
- Deus ex Machina: A literal example, the only reason Ura doesn't wins outright thanks to GaoGod interfering twice from out of nowhere, saving Red and Silver from being finished off by Ura in both their battles and giving the deceased Gao Warriors a chance to return to life if they pass a trial.
- Leap of Faith: The deceased Gaorangers are shown a trial where they must leap off a cliff and into magma, all while grabbing a piece of a relief that will summon GaoFalcon for Kakeru.
- Killed Off for Real: Ura bites it in the end. The Thousand Year Spirit of Evil is also destroyed entirely.
- Mid-Season Upgrade: Kakeru gains the Falcon Summoner and GaoFalcon, allowing the team to form Gao Icarus with GaoGiraffe, GaoDeer, GaoRhinos, and GaoMadillo.
- No-Nonsense Nemesis: Ultimate Form Ura shows that he is not taking any chances for the Gaorangers doing anything. When Soutarou and Gaku try to avenge the deceased Kai, Ura quickly kills them as well. Then, when Sae tries to resurrect her teammates with GaoDeers' power he ignores Kakeru and Tsukumaro and kills her before she can do anything. Kakeru and Tsukumaro only survive because of GaoGod saving them at the last second.
- Wham Episode: Aside from gaining a new Power Animal and a new Hyakujuu Gattai formation, the Gaorangers kill Ura, and destroy the Thousand Year Spirit of Evil for good. And the third Highness is on the way to emerging.
