Dr. Dean Deville and Dr. Dana Deville are the targets for the gang after making one of their former colleagues have a heart attack from their "Eat Yourself Slender" plan that put her her in the hospital.

Guest stars John Barrowman.

Tropes:

  • Broken Record: A lot of the transitions are from the initial "Eat Yourself Slender" advert, and get repeated a lot.
  • Fatal Flaw: Greed. The Devilles are so uptight and lusting for more money that, when provoked enough, will do things themselves to make it happen, something Mickey and the crew exploit.
  • Formerly Fat: Exploited by the crew so that Ash "loses weight" in front of the Devilles by wearing a different fat-suit once a week while they plan to steal the Faberge Egg.
  • Loophole Abuse: Of the more literal kind; the Devilles just about get away with their dodgy health programs as they categorise them as supplements, which avoids a lot of the UK's restrictions on health foods and pills. As Mickey notes, however, the UK is more regulated than the USA, and will eventually close that loophole, so the gang can exploit their need to not go jumping through hoops and offer them an out; a perfect product.
  • No Plans, No Prototype, No Backup: "Philips" (Ash's character) reveals that the weight-loss drug he used amounts to this; it was developed by Spitz-Kleinman and he stole a bottle his wife brought home for testing, but the company won't be officially ready for human trials for another few months, Philips' wife left him before she could see the results, and Philips finished the last of the bottle two days ago so he can't share it with the Devilles.
  • Noodle Incident: When entering the Spitz-Kleinman labs, Dean is told to shut up, or Dana "will never do the thing with the mango again", which legitimately puzzles the crew.
  • Pet the Dog: Eddie gets some much-need love in his life in the form of Carol; she makes him come out of his nervous wreck of a shell, and over the weeks the crew con the Devilles, Carol and Eddie go from friends to being in a loving relationship.
  • The Reveal: It's revealed Sean intentionally planted a receipt at the scene when exiting so Mickey couldn't send his usual crew to steal the weight loss drink from Spitz-Kleinman's labs, and forcing the Devilles to do it instead, thereby incriminating them in the theft, and meaning the crews' money is secured when the Devilles try to double-cross them. When the egg is revealed to not have been stolen, merely swapped, it's revealed the whole "black light" bit was complete nonsense (as Emma states, "If you believe that you'll believe anything"), the egg never left the gallery, and so the real egg never tripped the alarms.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Dana tries to do this with Mickey when not wanting to hand over the cash for the lab job. Mickey fires back by saying that their actions are recorded, and that an accomplice is waiting outside Scotland yard to give the police the incriminating evidence; if they don't pay up, the police come knocking.
