- Absurdly Sharp Blade: Jill was able slice the steamroller to pieces with her scissors.
- Anger Born of Worry: Kyoko makes it clear that she was worried about Makoto's plan with Jill possibly backfiring. Makoto, likewise, expresses his worries of her leaping into danger fighting off the robots.
- The Cameo: Kazuichi makes an appearance as Kyoko questions him about the robots and a wretch of his that was at the crime scene.
- Chew-Out Fake-Out: Inverted. Kyoko tells Makoto that she thought his plan to use Genocide Jill to save everyone from the steamroller was clever... only to then tell him that it was also foolish and could have easily backfired.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: When Kyoko tells Makoto not to worry about her, he tells her that he's always going to worry about his friends and put them first.
- Godzilla Threshold: Seeing both Byakuya getting seriously hurt by flying rocks and Toko about to be flattened by a steamroller causes Makoto to make Toko sneeze with a pepper packet he had in order to make her turn into Genocide Jill to save herself and Byakuya.
- Intimate Healing: Played for Laughs. When she notices that Byakuya is injured, Jill immediately offers to heal him with her body. He isn't having any of it and tries to push her off of him.
- Mythology Gag: Chihiro being chased by robotic Koopa Troopas, Sakura having to fight a large army of "aliens", Byakuya having rocks pelted at him, and Toko almost getting flattened by a steamroller all reference their scrapped executions.
