  • A God Am I: Prism Ace declares this as the Akibarangers try to fight him once he powers up.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Prism Ace debuts to help the Akibarangers defeat Marusheena.
  • Cancellation: The result of Marusheena nearly-killing Saburo Hatte is that another company swoops in and gets him to cancel Super Sentai, to be replaced with Prism Ace.
  • Corrupted Character Copy: The realty-warped Hakase is one to her regular self, being a Brainless Beauty who works as a waitress, instead of a mature woman who works as a voice actor and runs a successful theme cafe.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Prism Ace makes short work of Marusheena.
  • Designated Villain: In-Universe, the Akibarangers push Prism Ace to the left side of the screen during the Let's You and Him Fight to make it clear he’s the antagonist in this situation. For his part, Prism Ace is, at worst, a Villainy-Free Villain.
  • Deus Exit Machina: Unintentionally invoked. Because the Akibarangers killed Prism Ace, he’s unable to easily defeat the alien fleet.
  • Didn't Think This Through: If the Akibarangers hadn’t come up with an Excuse Plot of aliens, then the Sudden Downer Ending wouldn’t have happened.
  • Excuse Plot: The Akibarangers come up with one involving an unstoppable army of aliens to force a crossover with Prism Ace.
  • Genre Savvy: Akagi fights back against Prism Ace by getting Saburo Hatte to approve a VS Movie and invoking Let's You and Him Fight.
  • Make My Monster Grow: Inverted, with Marusheena growing Akagi to fight Prism Ace.
  • Something We Forgot: After defeating Prism Ace, the Akibarangers still have to fight the aliens that were the ostensible main threat.
  • Sudden Downer Ending: Just as the Akibarangers seem to be triumphing over the aliens, Hakase triggers a Death Flag by suggesting they go and watch the Z-Cune Aoi movie afterwards. Cue both Akibaranger mecha pushing the mothership into the Sun, with no chance for the heroes to escape.
  • Take That!: Prism Ace is a mildly unflattering jab at the Ultra Series, with his production company being a jab at Chaiyo Productions, who tried to seize the copyright from Tsuburaya Productions.
  • Transplant: The producers at Chigayo Productions retain Hakase as a supporting character.
  • Wham Episode: The Akibarangers are killed following a Heroic Sacrifice to stop an invading alien fleet.
