Rocket: Stand and Deliver

Rocket finds himself in a packaging facility. He hopes to find a way out, but must stick around long enough to rescue Groot.

• Art Shift: The 3D dimension in this part is more cartoonish.
• The Unishment: While being stuck in the packaging facility is not exactly pleasant, Rocket makes use of the sealed weapons and other contraband to make his escape.

Groot: Color My World

Groot is transported in Knowhere, but he is unable to make heads or tails to what the inhabitants are saying. Unfortunately, he has no time to process his whereabouts as a strange phenomenon causes its inhabitants to go against him.

• Irony: In the real galaxy, very few, like Rocket and Howard, understand Groot's Pokémon Speak. In the dimension he is sent in, he doesn't understand anyone else beyond "I Am [Name]".
• Our Zombies Are Different: Groot finds that anyone touched by the monochrome field are turned into aggressive zombie-like creatures.
• "Ray of Hope" Ending: The Black Vortex plans to take control of Groot so he can escape the mirror prison. Then he starts fighting back, allowing Gamora and the other Guardians to track him down.
• Suddenly Speaking: Groot doesn't realize until later, but he is speaking English/Universal in the dimension he is in while everyone else speaks his original language.
• Too Good to Be True: Groot's escape from the alternate Knowhere lands him in what appears to be his restored homeworld. Unfortunately, he finds out none of this is real and is under the control of the Black Vortex itself.
