Ross returns from London, after trying to find Emily. shortly afterwards, Rachel arrives in the apartment, after she was abandoned by Ross on the plane to Greece. Chandler and Monica are still trying to hide their relationship from the others, so he starts to kiss the other girls after they see him kiss Monica. Meanwhile, Rachel is trying to figure out if she should tell Ross that she loves him.

- And a Diet Coke: Chandler asks Joey to get him (really Monica) some chicken and a coke. Monica does something under the water that makes him squeal in pain and amend the order to a Diet Coke.
- Brief Accent Imitation: Rachel mimics a Greek accent when telling the others about the people she met in Greece. This is a Casting Gag because Jennifer Aniston is half Greek.
- Candlelit Bath: The cold open sees Chandler and Monica having a romantic bath together complete with candles and wine. Becomes an Interrupted Bath when Joey comes home early and walks into the bathroom to say he's about to order chicken and ask if Chandler wants to add to the order. Monica has to hide under the water until he goes away.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Phoebe's water breaking just as the gang are about to head to Atlantic City forcing them to go to the hospital instead.
- Control Freak: Because things have gotten pretty messy, Rachel wants to give the responsibility of her decisions to someone else. Phoebe rambles on how this is too much and she doesn't feel right having the power to control someone and meddle in their life. Monica immediately and enthusiastically chimes in to say she has no such reservations.
- Foreign Farewell: Monica tries to explain Chandler's kissing everyone as being a way of saying goodbye he picked up in London.Rachel: That's not European!
Phoebe: Well, it felt French. - Freudian Slip: Happens to Ross again.Ross: Rachel is my wife!
- Love You and Everybody: A non-verbal version. Chandler is caught kissing Monica, so now he has to kiss Rachel and Phoebe as well and pass it off as an European thing he picked up in London. Eventually, Phoebe tells him to stop because it’s creepy.
- Maternity Crisis: Phoebe's water breaks in the final scene forcing the gang to abandon their trip to Atlantic City so they can take her to the hospital.Joey: Uhm, Pheebs, you're leaking!
- Neat Freak: Monica reminds her friends to hold photos only by the edges in order to avoid fingerprints. When Rachel gets annoyed with her fussing she licks one of the photos.
- Secret Relationship: Chandler and Monica attempt to hide their new romance from the gang. They're not very good at it.
