After most of the rebels are expelled, all the hope remains on Soma, Erina, Takumi and Megumi.
This episode provides examples of:
- Bait-and-Switch: After finding out that most of the rebels have been expelled, and that Rindou was in charge of dealing with Megumi and Takumi, Erina runs to check on them, fearing the worst. It turns out that both of them passed because Rindou's test was just making her say "delicious". Even they can't believe their luck.
- Big Damn Heroes: Just when Azami is aboout to leave and refuse the possibilities to have a Shokugeki, Jouichirou and Senzaemon appear, opening a chance for the rebels to have a final fight against Central.
- Big Good: While unable to face off Azami directly, Gin Doujima organizes every detail under the table so the rebels can have the opportunity. His plan consisted on gathering Jouichirou and Senzaemon to Hokkaido to convince Azami to accept the Team Shokugekis, and train the remaining rebels for the battle against the Elite Ten, in addition to inviting Jun to Hokkaido so Akira has his Heel Realization, and later bringing Shinomiya along to train Megumi.
- The Bus Came Back: Jouichirou, along with Senzaemon, finally makes an appearance in front of Azami and Erina, proposing the Régiment de Cuisine. Azami only accepts because Jouichirou offers himself as prize.
- Friendly Enemy: Despite being on Central's side, Rindou doesn't even bother to make things difficult for the rebels, setting a test so easy that they are able to pass just by making her decent food.
- Grew a Spine: After months of hiding and avoiding Azami, Erina finally gathers the courage to stand up to him and take the position of leader of the Rebels, even relinquishing her rank as the Elite Ten's Tenth Seat.
- Stating the Simple Solution: Instead of letting the anger cloud his judgment, Soma has a clear head to think of a simple solution: The remaining rebels just have to take the majority of the Elite Ten seats to reverse everyone's expulsions. Even if it's not that simple, since it involves defeating the current members to Shokugekis.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: When Gin suggests doing a simulation of a Team Shokugeki, he wants to divide the teams using stats and personality profiles, but Jouichirou interrupts him and suggests just drawing straws. Gin immediately starts nagging at him, while Jouichirou reacts only laughing. Soma, Megumi and Takumi have different reactions to their dynamic.
