Brian bonds with his new girlfriend's son; Peter, Quagmire, and Cleveland take a joy ride in Joe's new classic corvette.

- Because You Were Nice to Me: Brian defends Kyle from a group of bullies by tackling the leader and biting that kid's shirt. Since no one had ever stood up for him like that before, Kyle starts to bond with Brian in response.
- Continuity Nod: When Joe asks what the word is.Peter: Uh, bird? Bird is the word.
- Easily Forgiven: Joe is actually relieved when the corvette is destroyed because of all the pressure of trying to maintain a car he promised to not even drive.
- Forgetful Jones: The car is destroyed akin to Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but Joe is 100% certain that it's a reference to Ferris Bueller's Day Off instead. Peter and Quagmire angrily correct him, the latter pointing out they all watched Fast Times just a week ago. Joe admits he's not very good at remembering movies, except Forrest Gump.
- I Gave My Word: Joe explains to his friends that he cannot drive his new corvette as he promised his late uncle, who previously owned said corvette, not to.
- Kindness Ball: Brian is at his most sympathetic here as he forms a genuine bond with his new girlfriend's son, defends him from bullies and is legitimately sad to be apart from him rather than being dumped again. Subverted at the end of the episode when his girlfriend gives him money for pizza, only for Brian to make Kyle bread and butter and keep the money for himself instead.
- The Precious, Precious Car: Joe's new corvette, which he inherited from an uncle that he promised he would never drive. Peter, Quagmire, and Cleveland inevitably damage it during a joy ride and efforts to repair it just make things worse, so they opt to just total it outright. Joe is actually relieved when it's destroyed since all it was doing was taking up space.
