The Riders help the Night Lights fight off an invading Snow Wraith.

- Big Bad: The Snow Wraith as it invades the Night Lights' realm and attacks them unprovoked.
- Cliffhanger: Tom blindly jumps back into the entrance cave with Thunder and runs straight into Olivia, who finally found the Dragon Club's meet-up spot.
- Combined Energy Attack: Tom uses his silver sword to combine the electric blasts of Thunder and the elder Night Light, successfully driving off the Snow Wraiths in the process.
- Dramatic Irony: The Dragon Club finds Hiccup's peg leg and assume it's a shovel or a spoon. Eugene accurately identifies it as a prosthetic leg, which the others don't believe.
- Even the Dog Is Ashamed: Tom saying he's always careful gets him an annoyed growl from Thunder.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Tom defeats the Snow Wraith by reloading the dart trap with a Snow Wraith tooth, which (unlike the darts) is sharp enough to bypass dragon scales.
- I Choose to Stay: Thunder is relieved to have found his family, but now that he knows they're safe, he wants to keep having adventures with Tom.
- Internal Reveal: The Dragon Club finds a mural of Hiccup, Astrid, Toothless, Zephyr, and Nuffink in a cave, revealing to Tom that Hiccup wrote the book of dragons they currently have.
- Logical Weakness: Feathers tries going invisible when the Snow Wraith attacks, but she still gives off heat, meaning their infrared vision can still see her.
- Oh, Crap!: Tom's reaction when he finds his mom waiting for him in the Dragon Club's meet-up spot.
- Palate Propping: Tom uses Hiccup's peg leg to keep the Snow Wraith's mouth open before it can bite him. The Snow Wraith pauses while testing the springiness, before biting down harder, destroying it.
- Wham Episode:
- Thunder has found his family but chooses to stay with Tom.
- Olivia finds the Dragon Club's meet-up spot and is already waiting there when Tom and Thunder arrive.
