Jetfire, Ironhide, and Todoh's squads fight the Decepticons for control of the Ontake Energon mining operation, but there is more than just Energon in the mountain. Nunnally comes up with a devious scheme to stop Rakshata, Lloyd, and Fixit's bickering once and for all.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Nunnally, Lelouch's seemingly harmless and adorable little sister, comes up with an unexpectedly elaborate scheme to force Rakshata, Lloyd, and Fixit to work together and put an end to their bickering.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Virtually every participating Decepticon was groaning upon finding out that Quillfire and Springload are in charge of the Mount Ontake mine.
- Graceful Loser: After losing to the Autobots and Black Knights, Sky-Byte shows no hard feelings as he retreats and peacefully allows his foes to complete their mission at Ontake.
- Punch! Punch! Punch! Uh Oh...: This is Hot Shot's reaction when he picks a fight with Barricade. While he does get a few punches, once Barricade does a Punch Catch, the Wrecker realizes that he's fighting outside his weight class.
- Sudden Sequel Death Syndrome: Toru Yoshida, who survived the Black Rebellion unlike in canon, is suddenly killed off by the Decepticon Springload.
- We Used to Be Friends: Starscream reminds Jetfire of how they used to work together before the former joined the Decepticons.
- Worthy Opponent: Tohdoh becomes one for Onslaught, the leader of the Combaticons.
